ASCO's Intrinsically Safe solenoids have an enclosure to provide corrosion resistance in harsh environments.
These units are acceptable for use in hazardous locations, as classified by the National Electrical Code: Classes I, II, and III, Division 1, including Groups A through G.
Triple redundant diodes prevent electrical pulse from
flowing back into the hazardous area.

ASCO's Low Power molded one-piece solenoid comes with a highly efficient solenoid cartridge and special low wattage coil. These units offer increased ambient temperature capabilities up to 175°F (80°C).
Valve is designed for use in automation of plant control
systems to provide PLC compatibility, reduced battery drain and heat rise, and reduced wiring cost. Use limited to air or inert gas only.

Flow rates on the ASCO 8202 / 8203 are adjustable between 0% and 100% of rating. This control is achieved by applying straight voltage between 0 and 24 VDC via a potentiometer or other variable power supply.
Flow rate can also be regulated by a range of electrical
inputs (sensors, transmitters, PLC, etc.) via an ASCO
Electronic Control Unit or similar circuit.
