Description: Intermediate to advanced course designed to familiarize students with best practices when it comes to instrument calibrations. They will learn the difference between calibration and verification. They will learn of the various tools needed to perform the calibrations, how to use them, how to properly document calibrations and why the documentation is important. This class has will have plenty of hands-on training exercises performing calibrations on various instrumentations to include pressure, temperature, pH and conductivity. Various ways to calibrate and verify flow meters will also be discussed, and a few techniques will be demonstrated. To ensure that the student can best benefit from this training, they should be familiar with instrument technologies, basic configuration and valves.
